Stefano PELIZZARI

After graduating from the University of Trento and the Collegio Bernardo Clesio, I completed my Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Milan under the supervision of Luca Bianchi, with a dissertation on the use of logic in the works of Dante Alighieri. A revised version of the dissertation was subsequently published as Nelli occhi della filosofia. La logica nell’opera di Dante Alighieri (Brepols, Turnhout, 2025), which received the Rencontres Publication Grant of the Société Internationale pour l’Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale. I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the History of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Bergamo. I am the Principal Investigator of the CARIPLO–Young Researchers project Matter, Space, and Change. The Theory of “Indeterminate Dimensions” in Some Italian Masters of the Early Fourteenth Century and a member of the PRIN 2022 project TeLPh. Teaching and Learning Philosophy in the Regnum Italiae (1250–1450). My research focuses on medieval logic, the teaching of arts and philosophy in fourteenth-century Italian universities, the reception of Averroes, and the works of Dante Alighieri.
